Creativity Abounds Blog Hop

This month we are creating Gift Packing projects and I am sharing a lovely Mini Exploding Gift box using the Wishes all around bundle that I have been featuring this week in my Facebook lives. You can see how I made this project HERE

Wishes All around Mini Exploding Gift box

We had our larger team gathering at the weekend & I was the lucky recipient of a fabulous SWAP from one of my Team members Becky Willmore of Catnip Crafting. she had made it using the Sparkling Snowflakes Bundle, which sadly I don’t own, so with her permission I set about making it with the Wishes all Around bundle.

I love trying out difference colour combo’s. Recently I watched a documentary about Marks & Spencer’s (A British Institution) and they were launching this colour drench colour combo of bright blue and neon lime for their Autumn clothing range

Its a bold combo, but I do love it. What do you think?

The base has been created with a square of Starry Sky, that perfectly fits a Ferrero Rocher inside making it a perfect little table gift or decoration if you can resist the contents! You can see the cutting and scoring instructions below.

For the inside I added some white heat embossed snowflakes and in the centre a lovely hidden sentiment.

The contrasting Lemon Lime Twist outer band has been stamped with the snowflakes again, but this time using Orchid Oasis ink.

TIP: When attaching the outer band glue the two side sections & the middle/bottom section will not sit flat. This allows the card to bend around the box when closed.

Measurements – Wishes All around Mini Exploding Gift box

• Box – Starry Sky: 15 cm x 15 cm or 6″ x 6″
  • Score at 5.0 cm & 10.0 cm or 2″ & 4″ in each direction
• Cover – Lemon Lime Twist: 23.5 cm x 5.0 cm or 9 1/8″ x 2″
  • Score at 1.5cm, 4.0 cm & 9.0 cm OR 1/2″, 1 -1/2″ & 3 1/2″ from each end
• Belly Band – Orchid Oasis: 11.0 cm x 1.5 cm or 4 1/2″ x 1/2″
• Label Base – Orchid Oasis: Scrap
• Label – Starry Sky: Scrap
