Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world who are members of the Tech 4 Stampers Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is Embossing, and I am delighted to share how I made this Gorgeously Made Birthday Card

Gorgeously Made Birthday Card

Did you know there are three different ways to add embossing to your papercrafts?

  • Heat
  • Pressure/Dry
  • Paste

For this bright & cheery birthday card I used all three. Can you spot them?

The sentiment is heat embossed in white and fussy cut, then mounted onto a punched layer, which has also been heat embossed in White. This is my favourite technique and never fails to wow.

Take the piece of DS and tear a small strip from the left hand side, then dry/pressure emboss the main piece using the adorable Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder

The piece of Fresh Freesia has been stamped with the lovely text in Berry Burst Ink and then embossing paste added over using one of the Foursquare decorative masks. I love how the ink form the stamping tints the embossing paste where they meet to add additional interest.

The card was finished with some die cut leaves, a bow and some Tinsel Gems.
