Botanical Layers

I have had this stamp set in my stash for quite some time and I thought it would be perfect for my card. A mix of solid, but delicate foliage images mixed with some really useful pretty script sentiments

Vellum Botanical Layers card

I love trying out different techniques with my cardmaking and I came across this idea a little while ago and today was the day to have a little play!

The first set of foliage images have been stamped in Orchid Oasis, Berry Burst & Parakeet Party. Use a heat gun to dry the ink because stamping on coated vellum takes longer to dry.

Next turn over the vellum and heat emboss the fine image and some floating seedheads in white

This creates this wonderful depth to the foliage and diffuses the brightness of the inked leaves.

The vellum has then been die cut with the Nested Essentials dies and a Basic White frame added with mini Dimensionals using the same dies.

The sentiment has been stamped in Orchid Oasis Ink onto the Second layer before adding the texture with the Painted Layers 3D Embossing folder
