How To Create A Tag Top Valentine’s Card – Crafty Collaborations

Jan 18, 2023 | Blog Hop, Wedding / Love

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today we are sharing our Valentine’s Day projects and I am excited to share a card I adapted from a recent Facebook live to create a Tag Top Valentine’s Card

Tag Top Valentine’s Card

I made this card on a recent Facebook live and it proved super popular. You can see the replay here.

Sometimes I like to select a piece of Designer Series Paper and let the colours dictate my ink palette. I just adore the new Country Floral Lane DSP from the same named suite and this pretty design pretty much dictated the whole scheme.

I chose to keep the card relatively simple, but jazzed it up with plenty of background stamping using a variety of small hearts from the Love for You Stamp set’ using Petal pink and Sweet Sorbet Ink

The Tag was cut twice – One in basic white and one in the Country Floral Lane DSP. Trim off a section from the second tag and glue together.

You can hide the edge of the DSP with the stamped sentiment, which was trimmed to create a lovely banner shape

The larger hearts and leaves combo were fussy cut from another design in the Country Floral Lane Floral albeit there is a fabulous coordinating punch (Which is currently sat at home!) that would save you lots of time!

The tag has been ‘dressed’ with a lovely white Baker’s Twine white bow and finished with some gorgeous Iridescent Pastel Gems

Measurement for this Tag Top Valentine’s Card

  • Base: Thick basic White – 29.7 cm x 10.5 cm Score at 14.8 cm
  • First Layer Basic White’ Country Floral Lane DSP – CUT ONE OF EACH 12.0 cm by 5.5 cm
  • Sentiment Basic White: Scrap

Don’t forget you can see me making this card on my Facebook Live. I go live every Monday and Wednesday 11.00 am UK time. Why not pop along and see what I am making?

Voila!

I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration for using these wonderful patterned papers
