Creativity Abounds Blog Hop

This month we are sharing the Gift Packaging and I am very excited to share a fun box that I made as a WOW Swap for some special friends that were attending our recent Onstage event in Vienna

Onstage is our version of a conference. It is the first time we have been able to meet in 3 years so I had to make something rather special to gift to my travelling companions.

I chose to use the Fabulous Celebrate with Tags bundle from the July to December Mini Catalogue to decorate my box. Its a perfect way to make tags for any gift giving and must have for your stash!

I just couldn’t resist using the gorgeous snowflake design from the Storybook Gnomes 12″ x 12″ Designer Series paper.

This paper is just so pretty and works for traditional and more contemporary Christmas cards and 3D projects as you will see below!

Secret Snowflake Flip Top Treasure Box

My first love is always cardmaking but I do love making special gift packaging to go with my cards

This box has a secret twist to it and would work well for gifting sweets and treats to neighbours, filling with small gifts such as jewellery and could be made in some different papers for any occasion.

Imagine a pair of small booties for a new born or handmade treats for a host gift.

My husband loved the design so I guess I will be making a more masculine version just for him!

It features a wonderful secret double opening that means you can hide two gifts, one in each section!

I also made an alternative version of this box on my Facebook Live today and everyone loved it!

How to Make this Secret Snowflake Flip Top Treasure Box

I made my first accompanying video for this project so you can see exactly how I assembled the box.

I would recommend cutting all the pieces first as there are quite a few!

My Wow swaps from Onstage

Here are the Versions I made for my lovely friends for onstage.

Each one was made using the colours and favourite papers for each person, So you can see how adaptable this box is!

Each one was filled with some lovely chocolate and some homemade fudge. Yum!!!
