Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Our theme is METALLICS today & am thrilled to show you how to create Embossed Foil Backgrounds & share two fun cards that I made on my Connect-Craft-Chat Facebook Live earlier this week

WHIMSICAL WOODLAND 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER

I do love to use an embossing folder to created added details and textures on cards, but sometimes they are just so cute they need to be the main focus of the card

Point in fact is this wonderful Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder which is just so pretty.

How to Create Embossed Foil Backgrounds On your Christmas Cards

As I mentioned above I made these cards on my recent Facebook Live (albeit I tweaked the one on the left to coordinate with the one on the right )

Each card has three pieces of speciality foil card, which have been glued to a piece of Basic White card of the same size before running through the embossing machine

Create Embossed Foil Backgrounds – Tri-Colour card

For my first card I used three different colours of foil card – Gold, Silver & Rose

The trees are from the Carolling Mice host set and each one has been heat embossed to match the coloured foils

The sentiment is from the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp set and has also been heat embossed in Gold to coordinate

A flourish of Very Vanilla & Gold Sarin Edge Ribbon & some of the Gold dots from the strangely names Red and Green Adhesive Pearls complete the card.

Create Embossed Foil Backgrounds – Brushed Metallic card

For my second card I used the three different colours from the the Brushed Metallic Speciality paper and wow the embossing folder really brings them to life!

Just a single heat embossed tree and a single loop of ribbon tis time for a quick and simple card that you could bulk make in a jiffy!

Voila!

I so enjoyed making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration for using these wonderful patterned papers
