Pretty in Pink – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop

Apr 12, 2022 | Blog Hop, Gift Ideas

Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world who are part of a Tech Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin Up Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is Pretty In Pink, and with the garden full of blossom right now I thought it would be fun to share a cute Blossom Slimline card

As I mentioned yesterday, we are now in the start of transition from the current Annual Catalogue to the new. The new Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue will be going live on the 3rd May. Sadly that means that a number of products from the current catalogue will be leaving us to make room for lots of new . But there’s still one last chance for you to get them while supplies last. With some items, you can save up to 50% off right HERE!

I chose to use the Forever Blossoms Stamp set today for my card as it is perfect for this time of year.

Even better its 50% OFF right now whilst stocks last. So grab it quick!

Blossom Slimline card

I took my layout inspiration from the sketch layout over at the Global Design Project #338. I have been playing along for a few weeks, but this is the first time I have entered the challenge.

The card base is slightly narrower than I would normally make (21.0cm by 18.0cm, scored at 9.0 cm) so I could use the beautiful slimline envelopes

The base layer has been given a little embossing paste treatment using the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks

Once dry I added a little Polished Pink ink with a Blending Brush to bring out the details

The image has been stamped twice using the Stampin Write markers. Once in Polished pink & the other in Granny Apple Green. I fussy cut out the blossoms and shaped them a little before adding them to the green stems with mini glue dots.

The blossoms have been layered over a double loop of ribbon and circles of Polished Pink Card and Layered Vellum.

The sentiment is heat embossed in white onto a strip of Granny Apple Green. and add a couple of leaves and a single blossom

To finish I added a smattering of Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels,

Don’t forget the envelopes – They are just so pretty

Voila!

I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration for using these wonderful patterned papers

This is so pretty. Please teach me how to know where the bling needs to go. It’s a struggle that I feel like I shouldn’t have.

Fabulous card, so pretty. The contrast between the pink and green works so well.
