Jun 5, 2021 | Card Ideas, Christmas, Step by step

Welcome to this months Stampin’ for Christmas Blog hop. We our a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world sharing Christmas card making and papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! Supplies. This my first time joining this wonderful group of talented crafters and I was very excited to show you my Tidings & Trimmings Watercolour card.

Tidings & Trimmings Watercolour Card

Today I am sharing a card made with the wonderful Tidings and trimmings Stamp Set.

I wanted to create a soft yet vibrant Christmas card and so picked up my Fluid 100 Watercolour card and a couple of drops of Re-inker (although you could easily substitute the re-inker by stamping the edge your ink pads on a block or plate).

Its such a pretty stamp set and check out those lovely matching dies which I will be using very soon!

How to make this Tidings & Trimmings Watercolour Card

  • Take the piece of watercolour card and heat emboss the stars and stockings in White
  • Take a Water Painter and ‘wash’ the bottom of a stocking with some clean water, being careful to stay within the embossed lines
  • Gently add some cherry cobbler re-inker to the wet area and let the colour flood the image until fully coloured
  • Repeat with the rest of the stockings and the stars
  • Heat set or allow to dry
  • Repeat the same process with the stocking tops using Sahara Sand
  • Once the images are dry add a little background wash with some diluted Sahara Sand Re-inker
  • Once everything is dry assemble the card using glue.
  • Heat emboss the sentiment in white and add to the card using Dimensionals
  • Finish with some Red Rhinestones

Tidings & Trimmings Watercolour Card Measurements
