Jun 19, 2021 | Blog Hop, Celebrate, Step by step

Hello there Crafty friends. Welcome to this month’s Stamp Impressions Europe blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around Europe and we will be sharing some wonderful ideas based around a monthly theme. This month’s theme is Hello New In-Colors so I thought I would have some fun with three of the new colours.

Hello New In-Colors

Just in case you are new to my blog and not familiar with the New 2021-23 In colors here they are:

Pierced Blooms

Please let me also introduce you to the Pierced Blooms Dies and its coordinating In Bloom stamp set.

Pretty floral shapes which can be used to build up lots of wonderful floral design. Its a great way to use up scraps of card, DSP and backgrounds which didn’t turn out the way you first planned!

You can buy these together as a bundle until the end of June ad get 10% off the list price, Thereafter they will still be available, but not as a bundle….. So I would grab them now if you fancy adding these to your basket.

Hello New In-Colors birthday card

I adore making watercolour washes on my Fluid 100 paper and using them as backgrounds. Today I used the Pierced Blooms to die cuts lots of samples and washes I had made using the new Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia inks.

How to create a Hello New In-Colors Birthday card

  • Take your pieces of watercolour and colour wash with Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green inks – You can either use and Ink Pad or re-inkers but you do need to dilute the colours well and leave to dry
  • Die cut a variety of flowers from the Pierced Bloom dies
  • Take your layer one of Basic White, mask off the bottom half of the card and add Bermuda Bay ink with a blending brush
  • Add water splatters and dry
  • Heat emboss the ‘happy’ in Silver
  • Die cut the birthday in a scrap of Bermuda Bay and add to the card with glue
  • Arrange the flowers and leaves and attach to the card with glue dots
  • Finish with some Silver & Clear Expoxy Essentials
  • Don’t forget to decorate the inside.
  • You are done!
