Welcome Little One – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop

Mar 9, 2021 | Baby, Blog Hop

Welcome to the very first Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world who are part of a Tech Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech academy is focussed on helping Stampin Up Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. As this month is our first challenge the theme just has to be WELCOME. I haven’t made a baby card in forever, so it seemed the perfect time to update my card stash with a generic welcome little one card!

Welcome Little One Card

I always seem to get caught on the hop (excuse the pun!), when it comes to new baby cards so I thought I would make a batch of generic ones for my card stash. However d to cover Easter, or other occasions.

The card uses two of the Wreath Builder Dies, which nestle round the two cute bunnies from the Wildly Happy Stamp Set. One cut in Soft Seafoam and the other in Vellum to create a soft frame around the bunnies.

They are all set onto a piece of Basic white, which has really been given the royal texture treatment!

Firstly add a little Sahara Sand ink behind the area where the wreath will be, using the gorgeous blending brushes. Next add some splatters across the card using Soft Seafoam Blends. TIP: Use the lids and gently flick the wide nib above the card until you have the desired effect. Finally emboss the card using the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.

The base card is Sahara Sand card stock, with a layer of Soft Sea foam card.

The two bunnies looks so cosy nestled inside their wreath burrow. Stamp the image in Sahara Sand and then tint with a Blender Pen and a little more Sahara Sand Ink. Once fussy cut, glue behind the wreath.

The sentiment is in the Oval Occasions Stamp Set and fits the bill perfectly! Even better there is a coordinating punch. Yay! A layering double sentiment punch. I love it!

Attach a little Fine Art ribbon with glue dots before adding the sentiment with Dimensionals.

Finally add some Gold Metallic Pearls and Opal Rounds

Card Measurements

  • Card Base: Sahara Sand – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm score at 14.9 cm
  • First Layer: Soft Seafoam – 14.5 cm by 10.2 cm
  • Second Layer: Basic White – 14.2cm by 9.9 cm
  • Wreathes: Soft Seafoam/Vellum – 10.0 cm by 10.0 cm – Cut two one of each
  • Sentiment: Basic White/Sahara Sand – scrap

Voila!

I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
