Daisy Lane Meets the New In Colours

I love Daisies! FACT! Simple, elegant, fresh. Plus a great basic flower design when crafting with a range of beginners through to avid collectors of all things paper craft. So when I received the Daisy Lane Stamp set at Onstage (our bi-annual conference and get together) I just knew this adorable stamp set would be perfect to team with our new In colours and make a Stamp-a-stack for my Summer Stampin’ School

Have you spotted that new super cute medium punch? On the 1st of June it wasn’t available so I as a little mean and made them all fussy cut the smaller daisy! Needless to say everyone loved the free stamp set and just had to add that medium daisy punch to their order. You’ve got to love a punch, makes crafting so much easier. Even better you can grab the punch with the stamp set as a bundle and save 10%! FAB-U-LOUS

The cards for the class were all identical and were designed to show case the pretty new In-Colours. As there was a small delay in the delivery of my Purple Posy Ink I decided to use Versamark to create my own patterned paper.

CLM Tip: Versamark is a great ink to stamp on coloured card as it just takes on the underlying colour and creates a soft subtle image. I keep one pad separate from my embossing one to ensure it is clean and is not contaminated by any ink colour or embossing powders.

Each colour was teamed with the gorgeous Gray Granite card stock (Did I mention how much I love this go with everything colour!). I also used the new In Colour DSP and that cute sentiment was created using the stitched nested label dies.

The Daisies, sentiment and the pretty fern on the inside were all stamped using the Gray Granite Ink onto the Whisper white card. Once I had punched/fussy cut(!) the daisies I used my Take your pick tool to shape the petals before adhering to the card.

I used a piece of the flax ribbon and some coordinating 2019-21 In colour Facted dots to add some interest and the final card looks great in each colour. Which one is your favourite?

  • Pretty Peacock
  • Seaside Spray
  • Purple Posy
  • Rococo Rose
  • Terracotta Tile

EDITED: I have been asked for the card measurements by a number of people so here are the instructions used in my class. Enjoy!

  • Create a base 11  in by 5 in using Whisper White 12 x 12 inch card
  • Stamp sentiment and fern decoration in Gray Granite ink.
  • Adhere first layer – Gray Granite 5in square  to the base
  • Take second layer – In colour 5  in square & stamp daisies all over using Versamark Ink and adhere to the card
  • Stamp and punch 2 large and 2 medium daisies using Gray Granite Ink on standard Whisper White card stock.
  • Shape the punched shapes using the Take your pick tool and stick together to form the flower
  • To create the topper adhere the In-Colour DSP 3 in square to the Gray Granite matt layer 3 inch square. Then add the flower to the centre
  • Stick the ribbon to the base card then add the topper with Dimensionals
  • Add the coordinating faceted dots
  • Voila!
