Welcome to the Pretty Cards and Paper International Blog hop. I am so fortunate to be joining this group of amazing demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we will be showcasing some of the Designer series papers which can found in our suite of catalogues. I’m so excited to share with you a set of stunning papers that sit within the Flowering Cactus Medley from the January to June Mini Catalogue to create some quick & easy Thank You Cards that you can make with just a few products.

Now this month the theme is anything goes! I have been making lots of projects with the Flowering Cactus Product Medley, but I still had lots of papers and elements left over so thought it would be fun to make a big batch of cards with just the elements. Plus if you love the papers and don’t want the Stamps and dies (Really? you really do!) , then you can find pretty much all of the elements to make these cards in the gorgeous Flowering Cactus Refill kit!!!

Quick & Easy Thank You Cards Using the Flowering Cactus

So I wanted to show some easy cards that you can make in a flash. Can’t decide which of your lovely Designer Series Papers to use? Then why not show them all!

You can make two cards with just one sheet of Cardstock, two sheets of 6″ by 6″ DSP & a few scraps card. So simple and east to make. These cards will be winging their way out to my customers this month.

How to make these Quick & Easy Thank You Cards

  • Add the first layer of Designer Series Papers (DSP) to the card base with glue.
  • Arrange two contrasting rectangle pieces of DSP (layer 2) and adhere to the card with glue.
  • Next punch the wavy edged ovals in a coordinating piece of scrap cardstock.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow onto a scrap of Basic White.
  • Punch out using the smaller rounded oval. Glue to the first oval and attach to the card with Dimensionals.
  • Add a bow in the twine from the KIT. NB Use a Mossy Meadow Stampin Blend to colour the natural twine to match the cards.
  • Add a felt flower using a mini glue dot.
  • Finish with couple of coordinating Butterfly Gems

Card Measurements

  • Base: Thick Basic White/ Mossy Meadow/Mint Macaron – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm scored at 14.9 cm
  • First Layer : Flowering Cactus DSP – 14.5 cm by 20.2 cm
  • Second Layer : Flowering Cactus DSP – remaining piece of DSP cut in two 7.5 cm by 5.0 cm
