Origami Sail Boat Cards
This month we are creating Masuline projects and I was inspired to make some origami sailing boat cards using some of our wonderful DSP
🛶 Crafting Your Origami Sailboat Card
Celebrate nautical adventures with this charming origami sailboat card—perfect for Father’s Day, birthdays, or any sea-themed occasion!
The ‘Boats’ have both been created using tutorials by EzOrigami & and you can watch them here:
I used some DSP from the Country Woods Collection . The wooden designs being perfect for the hulls of the boats
The ‘Paper’ Boat design is one so reminiscent if childhood and I rememebr making them and trying to sail then in the streams. Of course they always took on water and sank, but that was half the fun!
I added a mast with a BBQ skewer and the sails are make with one of the new Party Banner Dies, which has been cut in two diagonally
The cute bunting and flag are from the birthday celebration Dies and have been strung onto some Bakers Twine ‘rigging’!
The sentiments on both boats are from the Sunrise Sailing Stamp Set.
Both fold flat for posting, but you will need a large letter post box!
Origami is a great way to unwind, sharpen your focus, and create something beautiful. This sailboat design is a classic for a reason—it’s simple, accessible, and full of charm. Happy folding!
