Welcome to another Crafty Collaborators blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we will be showcasing some of the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today its our monthly Share it Sunday Blog Hop, where we share a recent project. I am delighted to share my Simple to Stepped up Watercolor World cards that I made on a recent Connect-Craft-Chat Facebook live.
Watercolor World
I do love a background stamp and this one was no exception! I had great fun playing with this Watercolour World Stamp on my recent Connect-Craft-Chat Facebook live where I made 5 ¾ cards. Yep, you read that right! Its amazing how quickly these cards come together & I will now show you three versions of a similar layout from Simple to stepped up. You can check back tomorrow for other other three cards (yes I did finish the final card!)
Simple Stamping Watercolor World Card
I love making batches of simple cards and this one is perfect to send as a little inspirational note to someone.
Add a little Coastal Cabana ink to the centre of a Thick Basic White Card base using a Blending Brush.
Next stamp the main image in Old Olive and the sentiment in Starry Sky.
Simple stamping at its best!
Step It UP Watercolor World Card
By adding a couple of layers of card and some embossing you can really step this card up to something special.
By adding some Versamark Ink to your stamp before adding the colour of your choice creates coordinating embossing. Just add clear powder and heat. It looks so cool
Add your embossed sentiment the centre of the card for added impact
Measurements – Step It UP Watercolor World Car
- Base: Thick Basic White – 28.0 cm by 10.5 cm cm scored at 14.0 cm and folded to form card
- Layer 1 : Starry Sky – 13.7 cm by 10.2 cm
- Layer 2 : Basic White – 13.2 cm by 9.7 cm
Change It Up Watercolor World Card
For the final card pretty much every element has been changed apart from the stamp set and layout
The card based has been changed to one in Starry Sky, with the two mating layers in Coastal Cabana
For added impact the world stamp has been embossed using Old Olive ink and clear embossing powder.
The vignette is created using a blending brush and some Starry Sky Ink.
Instead of a stamped sentiment use the Alphabet a la Mode dies on some Soft Shimmer card. To create some additional height mount the card onto some adhesive foam sheets before cutting . The Big has been heat embossed in gold and then fussy cut.
Voila!
I had great fun making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
If you would like to know more about any of my projects, then please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you
