Stampin Up demonstrator – Crafty Little Minx – Fathers Day with Apron of love
Its fathers day and I wanted to share the card I made for my amazing dad with all the days out there whether they are with you today, far away or living in your heart
I tend to design my cards showcasing one of the fabulous Stampin’ Up! Stamp sets so today I used Apron of Love. But I went all out with three Framelit die sets.
I cut the main body of the apron in watercolour card and smooshed it with night of navy, Early Expresso and Granite Grey, adding some contrast and folds to build up the texture.
The letter were mounted on three layers of thick whisper white card to make them pop.
Did you spot the cute little stars on the letters and background? Its from the Hearts come home Stamp set and its my current go to stamp for adding detail to masculine cards.
For the bottles I coloured the die cut water colour card, with my aqua painter and once dry added a shiny glaze with the fine tip glue pen. The labels were hand written using my aqua painter.
I finished off the apron with some shiny silver foil barbecue tools and added the ribbed effect to the pocket with a marker. Voila!
