How To Make A Heat Embossed Block Card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. This month we have a colour challenge and wanted to share a pretty Heat Embossed Block Card that I made for a recent Stamp Camp.

Colour Challenge

So this month our theme is to create a project using these pretty bright colours

Heat Embossed Block Card

Now anyone who knows me knows I love bright zingy colours so this challenge was right up my street!

The four blocks of colour were cut from my scrap wallets collection Yay!

I added a scrap of white card along the back to keep them together and then randomly heat embossed the large floral image i from the Happiness Abounds Stamp set using White Embossing powder.

Before sticking the layer down I wrapped some White Bakers twine around a few times and then stuck it down to a Basic White thick card base.

To make the maths easier I cut the base card down so it was easily divisible by 4!

The image has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut out using the Stylish shapes dies. I repeated the process for the sentiment and adhered them to the card using Stampin Dimensionals.

Base: Thick Basic White– 28.0cm by 10.5 cm scored and burnished at 14.0 cm
First Layer: Granny Apple Green/Bermuda Bay/Melon Mambo/Crushed – 10.5 cm by 3.5 cm
Second Layer: Basic White – 8.0 cm by 8.0 cm
Sentiment: Basic White – 8.0 cm by 2.0cm
