The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor

We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Saturday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. So grab yourself a cup of your favourite beverage, sit back & enjoy the hop!

Cottage Rose Stamp set

Today I am using one of my favourite stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue – Cottage Rose Stamp Set.

Its images could have been plucked straight from an English garden. So delicate and floral.

Make your own Water Colour Background

it’s Watercolour month in July and once again I have been playing around with creating backgrounds.

You can see exactly how I made this background on my Facebook live and you won’t believe how easy it is to make with just a handful of products.

The base piece of watercolour card was covered in ink using three inks – Calypso Corral, Pale Papaya, Petal Pink and a Blending brush.

Then ink was applied to the card using a mix of acetate dipped in ink and ‘smooshing’.

Smooshing is when you dip the card straight into watered down ink to create interesting patterns and textures.

Its important to regularly dry the card with a heat gun to build the layers of detail, but isn’t it just so pretty?

Once dry add the image & Sentiment using Versamark Ink and Copper Embossing Powder

To define the image add more Calypso Coral ink to pick out and define the leaves

The flower has also been embossed onto vellum, fussy cut and added with some Stampin Dimensionals

Inside the Card

Because the front of the card is very rich in colour the inside was kept simple with a sentiment and one image repeat stamped.

Voila!

I had great fun making this card. So, please do leave me a comment, letting me know what you think.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration
