The theme for the International Blog Highlights is “Thank You”!
I made this card in a recent Facebook Live. It was the celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend and I thought it would be fun to make a Double Gate Fold Thank You Card. You can see the replay HERE
This card has been made using the Cup of Tea Bundle from the Tea Boutique suite. It was perfect, given we are a nation of tea drinkers and I used it again at my Jubilee card making sessions over the weekend.
Using the gorgeous Starry Sky & Sweet Sorbet 6″ by 6″ In-Color Designer Series Paper as well gave it a real red/white & blue theme.
Measurements for Tea Boutique Double Gate Fold Thank You Card
- Base: Thick Basic White– 28.5 cm by 14.8cm scored at 3.5, 9.0, 19.5, 25 cm
- Outer Front Layer 1: Starry Sky – 14.5cm by 5.2 cm CUT TWO
- Inner Front Layer 1: Sweet Sorbet – 14.5cm by 3.2 cm CUT TWO
- Outer Front Layer 2: 2022-24 In Color DSP/Sweet Sorbet – 14.2cm by 4.9 cm CUT TWO
- Inner Front Layer 2: 2022-24 In Color DSP/Starry Sky – 14.2cm by 2.9 cm CUT TWO
- Belly Band: Starry Sky – 29.7 cm by 4.0 cm
- Front Layer Belly Band: 2022-24 In Color DSP/Sweet Sorbet – 10.5 cm by 3.7 cm
- Stamping and circle front 1/2 piece of A4
- First Inner Layer: Starry Sky 14.5cm by 10.2cm
- Second Inner Layer: Basic White 14.2cm by 9.9cm
How to Make This Tea Boutique Double Gate Fold Thank You Card
- Take scored base layer and burnish score lines to create the double gate fold card
- Add the front layers using glue
- Create belly band by folding the band around the card and gluing the band at the front (trim off any excess with snips)
- Cut a stitched circle using the largest Stylish Shape circle.
- Stamp the small leaf randomly in Starry Sky & Sweet Sorbet ink.
- Next stamp the Tea cup in Starry Sky Ink & die cut out
- Then stamp the leaves in Old Olive Ink & die cut out
- Stamp the flowers in Ink & die cut out
- Die cut a tiny tag & add a tiny heart die cut from scraps of the DSP.
- Assemble to card front using glue and Dimensionals
- Add a white heat embossed sentiment on Sweet Sorbet Card
- To finish add some Real Red Basic Rhinestones
