Flowering Fields

Our theme this month is Spring, featuring the Flowering Fields Mega Suite

I love spring flowers, so the products in this suite really appealed to me. Fresh fields of tulips, straight from the Dutch fields in every colour you can imagine.

As I am currently away on my holidays, watching cricket in the Caribbean, I was a little restricted in what I could bring away with me. In the end I plumped for the wonderful papers. They are so vibrant and make simple card making a cinch.

Tulip Thank You Card

I chose a really simple card to showcase those wonderful Flowering Fields Papers. Those tulips just look like they are bathing in the spring sunshine and would certainly brighten anyone’s day.

After Birthday cards I am always in need of Thank you cards although this design would work for so many different occasions and sentiments (or you could leave it blank!)

Once the base layers are assembled add a little White bakers twine

The Abstract Tulip focal point is due cut from the Floral Squares Dies and mounted onto a piece of Calypso Coral card.

T o give it a little extra pizzazz colour the card with a Wink of Stella.

TIP: The more times you go over the card with the pen the more sparkle is laid down.

Finish with a few Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

Measurements – Tulip Thank You Card

Base card: Old Olive – measuring 29.7 cm x 10.5 cm, scored at 14.8 cm
First Layer: Basic White – 14.5 cm by 10.2 cm
Second Layer: Flowering Fields DSP – 14.2 cm by 9.9 cm
Third Layer: Calypso Coral 5.0 cm by 5.0 cm
Fourth Layer – Die cut from a piece of Basic White 5.0 cm by 5.0 cm
Sentiment: Basic White – Scrap
Inside : Basic White 14.3 cm by 10.0 cm
