Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop! and my Vintage Toile Style card

Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop

The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor

We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Saturday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. So grab yourself a cup of your favourite beverage, sit back & enjoy the hop!

Colour Challenge

This month we have a very pretty Colour challenge.

Calming Camelia stamp set

Today I am creating some quick & simple backgrounds with one stamp, one ink pad and one piece of cardstock using the Calming Camellia stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Made up into a simple square card it looks likes like beautiful french toile wallpaper.

These colours are so pretty together and as soon as I saw the Calming Camelia stamp set I knew this technique would work perfectly with these colours.

The background has been created using the same stamp as the main image and creates this beautiful repeat pattern

I couldn’t make up my mind whether to use a central panel of Fresh Freesia or Basic white so I made one of each and will let you decide!!

Here it is with Fresh Freesia :

The image was stamped in Rich Razzleberry Ink and then coloured using just three watercolour pencils.

The sentiment was stamped in Rich Razzleberry onto a scrap of Basic white card to make it pop.

To finish add some elegant faceted gems.

Or how about here, stamped in Fresh Freesia onto Basic White card. It gives a much softer more ethereal finish

I’m really not sure which one I prefer.
