Creativity Abounds Blog Hop
This month we are creating Birthday cards. AS you may have read from my previous posts I am currently volunteering with my Husband, Dean at an Animal Sanctuary near Harare in Zimbabwe.
I managed to stash some basic crafting supplies in my hand luggage and some wonderful new stamp sets from the upcoming Jan to June Mini Catalogue.
So you are going to see at least four sneak peaks from the upcoming catalogue. I’m sure they will be finding their way onto your shopping list!
Simple Rainbow of Happiness Birthday Card
I used a wonderful NEW Rainbow of Happiness Photopolymer stamp set as the inspiration for this card and paired it with some lovely colours inspired by the NEW Sweet Talk DSP used to the side of the card. it is so pretty and reminds me of the Love Heart sweets that I used to eat as a child.
How to make a Simple Rainbow of Happiness Birthday Card
- Take the base card and stamp randomly all over the front in Highland Heather Ink using the striped curved stamp and the tiny trio of hearts
- Add the side strip of DSP using glue
- Take the piece of Basic white and stamp the rainbow starting with So Saffron, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green & Barmy Blue Ink.
- Add a little sparkle to the Rainbow using some Wink Of Stella.
- Stamp the sentiment over the Petal Pink Curve using Real Red Ink
- Add the birthday sentiment using Highland heather Ink
- Tie a piece of Real Red Linen Ribbon around the card in a bow and secure with a mini Glue dot under the knot
- Add to the Layer 2 piece of Real Red Card.
- Adhere to the base card using Stampin Dimensionals.
- Finish with some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels
- Don’t forget to decorate the inside!
