Create simple In-Memoriam Remembrance cards – Stampin Dreams Blog Hop

Nov 11, 2021 | All Occasions, Blog Hop, Thank you

Welcome to the Stampin Dreams Blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing some of the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. This month’s theme is In Memoriam. A fitting theme as today is Remembrance day for our fallen heroes across the world. So I decided to share three In-Memoriam Remembrance cards that I made recently for a Facebook live.

Clean & simple cards using the Snailed It Stamp Set from the Snail Mail Suite by Stampin Up

Painted Poppies

This stamp set is right on the money for making Remembrance day cards, but has been used for many other occasions too!

As the stamp set does not have sentiments I used its sister set Peaceful Poppies for all of the cards.

A Trio of In-Memoriam Remembrance cards

All these cards used a simple palette of:

In-Memoriam Remembrance cards – Simple Stamping

The first card uses no dies or punches and is simply stamped or blended with with ink and coloured with Blends

It would be easy to recreate this card for another occasion, by simply changing the colours and sentiment

In-Memoriam Remembrance cards – Thank you

I made a huge bunch of these cards after my live for the local British legion and they loved them!

Two simple die cut Scalloped label with a simple piece of card added in the middle. Use a post it note to mask the bottom section of the card and then stamp the poppies. Add some Old Olive and Poppy Parade ink using a a blending Brush for instant impact. The poppies have been lightly coloured with the Poppy Parade Stampin Blender pens and finished with a little Wink of Stella.

In-Memoriam Remembrance cards – Water coloured Pierced Blooms

For my final card I made a slimline card and added a whole bunch of die cut flowers using the pierced Blooms dies

The flowers were made with watercolour card which had been saturated with water and then coloured with Poppy Parade, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler ink. the colours all blend together to give this lovely textured effect.

Voila!

I so enjoyed making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
