Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world who are part of a Tech Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin Up Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is Case the Catalogue and with so many wonderful designs packed into our amazing catalogues it took me some time to decide on which one to chose, I hope you like my Best of Luck Card.
Case The Catalogue
I love using my blending brushes and inks to create lots of lovely effects so one of the cards on page 26 of the Annual Catalogue was the perfect choice to case.
If you have been following me on my Blog or on Facebook, you will have seen that I am currently volunteering at an animal Sanctuary in Zimbabwe.
I have brought some craft stuff with me, but it is very limited so this card worked perfectly and is a fabulous technique for those just starting out or for those who are looking to try something different.
Best of luck card
I made this card using a brand new stamp set that will be available to purchase on the 4th January. Heart & Home is an amazing mega Suite that has two coordinating bundles with floral themes. I brought the Honeybee Home Stamps set with me and I’m so glad I did. It works perfectly with this design.
This card is much simpler to make than it looks. I have step by step instructions below.
Keeping with the Misty Moonlight theme and the layout all the other elements have been swapped out for elements from the sweet, with one exception. Have you spotted those gorgeous Brushed Brass Butterflies? They are so cute! and not too thick, making them ideal for making cards for posting.
How to make this Best of luck card
- Take the piece of Basic White card (Mask) and tear in half
- Place on the top and bottom of Layer 2 (Basic White)
- Use two blending brushes to add Misty Moonlight and Bumble Bee ink to the space in between
- Before removing the masks stamp one of the bumblebees from the NEW Honeybee home Stamp Set.
- Add some Misty Moonlight ink to Layer 2 Heart & Home DSP
- Add Layers 1 & 2 to card base with glue
- Stamp the flower stem in Memento ink
- Finish with some Butterfly
- Don’t forget to decorate the inside.
