Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from around the world who are part of a Tech Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin Up Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is anything but a card and I thought it would be fun to create some simple pillow box Christmas packaging.
Pretty Pillow box dies
its that time of year when we start thinking of handmade projects for Christmas & this dies set s a must for so many projects.
This die set sits within the Frosted Gingerbread Suite of the Jul to Dec Mini Catalogue, but really can stand by itself as a wonderful all year, all occasion Pillow box die set
Apart from the pillow box die are a number of dies to create decoration and accessories. So really useful set.
Pillow Box Christmas Packaging
You won’t believe how quick these were to make. Less than an hour for all four designs and took just one sheet of Cardstock, one piece of Tidings and Trimmings 6″ x 6″ DSP and a few scraps of Cherry Cobbler and Basic White Card.
Pillow Box Christmas Packaging – Table setting Favour
Once you have created your basic pillow box with cardstock, just add a little decoration with some DSP and a stitched label which is perfect for adding names or sentiment. This one has been created as a table favour for Christmas day and will hold a chocolate or a couple of sweets .
By changing the colours and patterned papers you makes these for Easter, Mothers Day, Weddings, Christenings…… or any other event you can think of.
Pillow Box Christmas Packaging – Simple Stamping
For this design just stamp the snowflake & the little sprinkles from the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp set in Versamark over the pillow box.
The contrasting colour cardstock is just another piece of the front section of the box glued inside the lid. Once the glue has dried, use the double hole die to die cut the ribbon holes on the top and bottom of the box so they line up and you can create a re-useable piece of packaging.
Pillow Box Christmas Packaging – DSP Insert
The box lid has been die cut with the pretty floral edging and the contrast is a scrap of the DSP. Pop your sweet treat inside and close with a mini glue dot. Easy Peasy!
Pillow Box Christmas Packaging – Patterned Paper
The final option has been made with some Tidings and Trimmings DSP and a bright Cherry Cobbler Contrast. The lid ahas also been die cut with another of the edging dies so the red just peeks through the areas than have not been stuck down.
Pillow Box – Alternative Project
Here is another Pillow Box made recently using the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Acetate
The label and the dies are all from the Pretty Pillow box dies and look so different from the projects above showing just how versatile this set is.
Voila!
I so enjoyed making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you
So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration for using these wonderful patterned papers
