Amazing You’re Too Kind Vintage Style Thank You Card With Quiet Meadow

Aug 30, 2021 | Blog Hop, Card Ideas, Colouring, Step by step, Thank you

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I’m so happy to be sharing my project with you today and to show you my You’re too kind vintage style Thank you Card using Quiet Meadow.

I’m so excited to be featured in this month’s International Highlights Top Ten Winners Blog Hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci. I was selected to participate in this hop by finishing in the top ten of the August 2021 International Highlights. A huge thank you to everyone who voted for my card!

The theme for the International Blog Highlights is “Thank You”!

I decided to create a slightly different style to my normal style to showcase the versatility of the Quiet Meadow Bundle, one of my favourite in the Annual Catalogue.

This card has been made using just Very Vanilla card and two Ink pads – Pale Papaya & Calypso Coral

By building up layers of distressed and textured card you can really create a soft and subtle vintage feel. Perfect for those acts of kindness that you may wish to create and send.

Measurements for this You’re Too Kind Vintage Style Thank You Card

  • Base: Thick Very Vanilla – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm scored and burnished at 14.9 cm
  • First Layer: Very Vanilla – 14.3 cm by 10.0 cm
  • Second Layer: Very Vanilla – 11.0 cm by 8.0 cm
  • Flowers and Sentiment: Very Vanilla scraps

How to make this You’re Too Kind Vintage Style Thank You Card

  • Take the first layer and emboss using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Use the edge of the scissors around the edge of the layer to create a distressed look, then add to the base card with glue.
  • Take the Second Layer and use the blending brush to add Pale Papaya Ink to the centre
  • Stamp the words in Calypso Coral randomly across the layer.
  • Stamp the Flowers in Versamark onto some scraps of Very Vanilla card and heat emboss in white.
  • Use the water painters to lightly tint the flowers. (TIP: A light touch is best to avoid the cardstock pilling).
  • Fussy cut out the flowers & set aside to fully dry. (You can speed up the process with a heat gun)
  • Wrap some Scalloped Lace Trim around the card and add to the base card with glue
  • Arrange some die cut leaves and adhere to the base with glue
  • Add the flowers with Dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment in Calypso Coral and trim down to fit the card
  • Attach with Mini Dimensionals.
  • To finish colour some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Dark Pale Papaya Stamping blend and add to the card
