Welcome to the Pretty Cards and Paper International Blog hop. I am so fortunate to be joining this group of amazing demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we will be showcasing some of the Designer series papers which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today I’m excited to share with you a set of stunning papers from the Annual Catalogue and creating some fun, ‘sweet’ layouts with You’re a Peach.

You’re A Peach

Now this month we have chosen wonderful You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper. The papers form part of the gorgeous You’re a Peach Suite suite of coordinating products.

Now the designs in this pack are have all been created from some original water colour art work. So the designs have a real softness & are really peachy! Sorry couldn’t resist! With pretty delicate peaches & floral patterns on one side, on the other there are gorgeous, light and fresh non floral designs. There are 2 each of 6 double sided designs in a useful 12″ x 12″ format giving 12 sheets.

I adore these papers. You don’t need the rest of the suite to use these papers, but why wouldn’t you? I have been having such fun making cards with the whole suite and you don’t even need to have a peach in sight if it’s not your thing. As you will see below………. well, OK, I snuck one in as a fun bonus!

Sweet layouts with You’re a Peach – Simple Stamping

I loved creating this simple layout, letting the pretty paper do all the work.

It’s a great reason to chop up and use your DSP and fabulous for batch card making as you can get 6 cards from just one sheet of 12″ by 12″ or 3 cards from two sheets of 6″ by 6″ or rummage through that scrap pile and make a patchwork version!

This card is just so simple there really are virtually no instructions!

The DSP is just one strip cut at 4.7 cm ans sliced at 9.0 cm (cut two) & 5.0 cm (cut two).

The sentiment is from the Sweet as a Peach Stamp Set & was just stamped onto a piece of scrap card.

You can then add ribbon & some embellishments & you are done!

Sweet layouts with You’re a Peach – Stepped Up Card

For my next card I wanted to show a non-peachy coloured option to show how really versatile this paper is.

Base Card; Thick Basic White – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm scored & burnished at
First Layer: You’re a Peach DSP – 10.0 cm by 10.0 cm & 5.5cm by 10.0cm
Second Layer : Balmy Blue – 10.0 cm by 7.0 cm
Third Layer: Basic White – 7.0 cm by 6.0 cm

Sweet layouts with You’re a Peach – Bonus Card

Well I couldn’t use this paper and not sneak a peach in there somewhere! I made the card out of some elements I had lying on my desk and then just couldn’t resist adding a couple of googly eyes for a bit of fun! What do you think?
