Welcome to another Crafty Collaborators blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we will be showcasing some of the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today’s Monthly hop is called Share it Sunday, where we will be sharing a recent project. I have busy in the garden harvesting the early flowers and fruits for the house and our newly refurbished Kitchen, which is nearly finished. I have been inspired to make some simple Sweet as a Peach cards and alternatives
Sweet as A Peach Cards
I just love the Sweet as a Peach Stamp set on Page 61 of the Annual Catalogue. The images are perfect for creating watercolour effect cards, but can also be used for a whole host of other techniques and projects.
The stamps have a companion set of dies which can be purchased together as a bundle for a 10% discount. But the best news is the bundle forms part of the You’re a Peach Suite, with some stunning watercolour style Designer Series Papers and totally cute mini Jam jars.
I have had so fun fun playing with the suite and thought I would share a set of four cards I made for a friend recently using the same layout in four different ways.
Sweet as A Peach Card
My first card took me less than 10 minutes to make from start to finish, and don’t those peaches look real juicy?
How to make this Sweet as a Peach Card
- Take your Layer 1 piece of Basic White and emboss using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder
- Wrap the ribbon around & tie in a bow
- Add to the base card using glue
- Stamp the peaches in Pale Papaya and add a little Calypso Coral ink around one side with a dauber on to the scrap piece of Basic White. Die cut and set aside
- Take the piece of layer 3 Basic White and stamp the branch in Pear Pizzazz Ink and the sentiment in Calypso Coral
- Take Layer 2 and cut out a scalloped rectangle , add Layer 3 with glue and add the peaches with Dimensionals
- Add the topper to the card with Dimensionals
- Finish with some In-color jewels.
Measurements for the card
- Pear PIzzazz – Card Base: 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm – scored and folded at 10.5 cm
- Basic White Front Layer 1: 14.5 cm by 10.2 cm, Layer 3: 10.0 cm by 6.7 cm & Scraps for the peaches
- Calypso Coral- Layer 2: 12.0 cm by 8.5 cm
Sweet as A Peach Card – Floral Alternative
Don’t fancy a Peach card? Well you can swap out the fruit for the flower stamp
Just stamp the image in Balmy Blue, with a little Gorgeous Grape daubed around the edges.
Swap the ribbon for Gorgeous Grape sheer, the card for Highland Heather & some Blue, adhesive backed gems.
Sweet as A Peach Card – Blossom Alternative
Bright Flirty Flamingo & Polished Pink blossom look fabulous for a birthday card.
The tiny flowers were stamped onto the Layer 3 card and then additional die cut tiny flowers added with glue for a little added texture.
Sweet as A Peach Card – Plum Alternative
Why not use different inks with the peach fruit stamps to create other fruit?
Fresh Freesia and a little daubed Rich Razzleberry, make perfect Plums!!! How ever you could make cherries, damsons, apricots and lots of other fruit to suit your card
Voila!
I had great fun making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
