Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. This month we have a colour challenge to match so I have dusted off one of my older Stamp sets to create my Here’s to you Seahorse card!

Challenge Colour

Here is this the colour combination. It’s World Water Day today hence the choice. We could use it literally or interpretatively as we wished

As I mentioned above I haven’t used this stamp set for ages, which is such a shame as Its such a pretty set with lots of sketch style images and beautiful font

Here’s to You! Seahorse Card

Now I always find colour challenges a bit tricky as I always want to add a colour that is not on the list!! I’m sure its because I hate being told what to do ……. or maybe its just the rebel in me!!

So with my sights firmly set on holidays I created un underwater scene with the super cool seahorse as a focal image

To add some texture I embossed the second layer of Basic White using the stunning Seabed 3D Embossing Folder and added wrapped some of the

The seahorse has been stamped in Misty Moonlight ink before being water coloured with a little more of the ink using my go to Wink of Stella to add a bit off sparkle. The sentiment has been stamped on another piece of scrap Basic white in Balmy Blue ink and trimmed down to the three words with my trusty snips.

Here's to you Seahorse  card using the Seaside Notions Stamp Set.

Die cut piece of Balmy Blue card & stamp with the dots from the Stamp Set in the same Balmy Blue Ink. I do love tone on tone to add those extra details. Attach to the base card with Dimensionals

Add the seahorse and sentiment with mini Dimensionals and finish the card with some die cut Night of navy Bubbles from the fun Shark Dies and a few Clear Epoxy Droplets.

Card Measurements

  • Card Base: Basic White – 21.0 cm by 14.9 cm score at 10.5 cm
  • First Layer: Night of Navy – 13.7 cm by 9.3 cm
  • Second Layer: Basic White – 13.4cm by 9.0cm
  • Third Layer: Balmy Blue – 8.0 cm by 6.0 cm
  • Scrap: Night of navy & Basic White
