The wonderful New Butterfly Brilliance Collection is available to order from tomorrow and judging by the interest I have had it’s going to be hugely popular.

The Butterfly Brilliance bundle of the stamps and dies is an early release from the upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalogue. However the stunning 6″ x 6″ DSP and the Natural Touch Speciality paper is only available whilst stocks last.

Pop Up Card with Butterfly Bouquet

One of the best things about the new bundle is the butterflies are all one stamp so making this card was super easy.

I just popped it into the Stamparatus and stamped the image in Memento Black ink twice onto Basic White cardstock.

One of the dies fits perfectly over the stamped image and cuts them out in a jiffy.

Coloured in with blends and add some Wink of Stella, then stick 5 of the butterflies together paying careful attention to the ascending and decending sizing of the images, before adding to the inside of the card.

Fold the butterflies in half and glue the butterflies tip to tip so they all stack up neatly. Once you have established the right position glue one of the Daffodil Delight butterflies to the base card. The add glue to the other one and fold the card closed so the butterfly lines up

Add two of the left over butterflies to fill the gaps and add a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set

For the front of the card take a piece of the True Love DSP and cut out a frame using the Rectangle Stitched dies. Colour the inner frame using the same Stampin’ Blends. Attach the papers to the front of the card.

Shape the last Large Butterfly using a bone folder and attach to the card at the abdomen.

Stamp the Sentiment in Memento Black Ink and fussy cut out and then attach to the card using Mini Dimensionals.

Finish with some Clear Epoxy Droplets.

Measurements

  • Base: Basic Black– 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm scored at 14.9 cm to form the base card.
  • First Layer: True Love – 14.5 cm by 10.2 cm
  • Inside Layers: Basic White – 13.4 cm by 9.0 cm
  • Butterflies -16.0 cm by 12.5 cm CUT 2
