Easy Blended Blossom Cards – Spring Blog Hop

Feb 18, 2021 | Birthdays, Blog Hop, Colouring

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. This month’s theme is SPRING and with the day getting lighter and all the new shoots starting to emerge here I was really inspired. With so many products from the NEW January to June Mini Catalogue that fit the theme it took me a while to decide. However in the end I chose to use the stunning Wild Roses Stamp Set for my Easy Blended Blossom Cards.

Wild Roses Stamp Set

I just adore this stamp set. I haven’t been able to put it down since I received it! In fact I used it earlier this week on my Facebook live.

It is a whole back ground stamp of wild roses, but because the imagery has been so cleverly designed I think it can be interpreted in many ways.

Soft Pinks Easy Blended Blossom Cards

When I think of spring I am instantly drawn to soft pinks, which remind me of the blossom on the trees. We are so fortunate that the Stampin Up colour range has such an amazing choice of colours which meant I was spoilt for choice.

The background was created with the wonderful blending brushes. I love these! As I have Osteo-arthritis I find these brushes a breeze to create stunning blended backgrounds. I have tried many brands and the NEW brushes from Stampin Up! really are the best, So smooth and no scratching

Blend Petal Pink, Calypso Coral & Flirty Flamingo Inks together to create this pretty Ombre effect. To create some additional interest use a Stampin Spritzer to add some water droplets and remove some of the ink.

Using the Stamparatus stamp the Wild Roses in Versamark & emboss in Gold Stampin; Emboss Powder. So pretty.

Cut a frame in Basic White from the the Ornate Layers Dies. Stamp the sentiment in Calypso Coral and add a die cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies in Petal Pink Card.

To finish add some of the amazing Gilded Gems.

Easy Blended Blossom Cards – Alternative

As I said earlier I have had such fun making these backgrounds, once I started I couldn’t stop so I made another card with some alternative colours.

This time I used Pretty Peacock, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink Inks and embossed the image in Silver.

The colours were so lovely I used vellum for the die cut frame and stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink and heat embossed it in Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

The die cut sprig is in Silver foil and the card is finished with some basic Rhinestones coloured with a Pretty Peacock Blend.

Easy Blended Blossom Cards – Inside

For the inside of the cards use one of the off-cuts to continue the theme inside the card. It really does finish off your card.
