Creativity Abounds Blog Hop
The theme for our blog hop this month is Dandy Garden and all of the projects feature one of the new products on pages 24-27 of the Stampin’ Up! January to June Mini Catalogue. For my projects I chose to use the Dragonfly Garden as my focus, namely the super cute dragonflies. I have to say I adore everything in this suite.
Dandy Garden Vellum Card
We made this card at a recent online class and it received lots of positive feedback from my customers.
The card is a base of Basic White layered with Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay card.
Stamp the cute dragonfly over a piece of Basic White in Smoky Slate ink and colour with watercolour pencils and a blend with a Wink of Stella. Its such a lovely technique and makes the wings look like gossamer.
To soften the background layer over a piece of vellum then add a piece of the Metallic ribbon. again this was to reflect the delicate structure of the dragonfly wings
Stamp the sentiment in basic gray onto a strip of smoky slate and attach with dimensionals.
To finish stamp and colour another dragon fly and use the accompanying dragonfly punch to create a single focal point by the sentiment
