Jan 31, 2021 | Birthdays, Blog Hop, Card Ideas

Welcome to another Crafty Collaborators blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we will be showcasing some of the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today’s Monthly hop is called Share it Sunday where we will be sharing a recent project. So I chose to share some monochrome cards I made earlier this week on my Facebook Live.

I run a twice weekly free Connect-Craft-Chat live via my Facebook page. Its been a great way to connect during the repeated lockdowns in the UK and allows me to keep in touch with some of my friends and customers. Ir’s been a real blessing for me to stay connected during these short dark winter months and I know it has been a real boost for some who live alone.

We had our first snowfall of the year last weekend but despite the blanket of white glimpses of new flowers and buds still managed to shine through and this inspired my cards.

I chose to use the Fancy Phrases stamp set which has one of the loveliest collections of sentiments and great floral images. Who wouldn’t like a card with ‘Sending a little smile your way’

I stuck to a palette of White, Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green which really looks so soft and fresh.

Monochrome card – A Little Something

So, for my first card, I pulled out my Soft Sea Foam card stock and created a card base. Add a layer of basic White coloured using the Blending Brushes, Decorative masks & Soft Sea Foam Ink. Such a pretty and delicate effect.

Stamp the large floral image and two of the sprigs in Granny Apple Green Ink and colour with Granny Apple Green & Soft Sea Foam Blends. To add another layer of detail use some of the Wink Of Stella to the flowers

For my second project I decided to add a pop of colour to the card with the addition of some more Granny Apple Green.

Simple floral Birthday wishes card

The base is Basic White Thick card with a layer of Soft Sea Foam, which has been stamped with the large floral image in Versamark to give a very faint, subtle pattern.

Next add a layer of Basic white which has been die cut using the largest of the Stitched so sweetly dies. Before adding to the base card with Dimensionals wrap some Polka dot Tulle Ribbon and add a bow

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Granny Apple Green Card using Versamark and Heat embossing in white. Die cut the shape using the Stitched Shapes Framelits before adding to the card with Dimensionals

The image is stamped and coloured as per the pervious card. if you are making both why not same and colour both at the same time!
