Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators located all around the world. They are members of the Tech 4 Stampers Academy. The academy is run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, we have established a regular blog hop. This month the theme is Embossing. I am delighted to share my double embossing technique with Sunflowers.

Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder
What Makes the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder So Special

This embossing folder delivers truly bold, three-dimensional impressions, lending rich depth and tactile interest to your crafting projects. It’s perfect for making cards, scrapbook layouts, and frames stand out beautifully.
Measuring 6″ x 8½″ (approx. 15.2 × 21.6 cm), it’s larger than most folders on the market. This allows you to emboss two C6 cardstock pieces at once—amazing for boosting productivity!
Rather than blending into the background, the sunflower motif becomes the focal point. Techniques include fussy cutting embossed elements to layer, or using white-on-white embossing for elegant designs, pulling focus on the sunflower itself.
Amazing Inking Techniques
• Front-side inking: Swipe ink pads over the embossed texture for vivid, dimensional color.
• Back-side deboss coloring: Apply ink through the back for a softer, muted palette with subtle charm.
These methods allow for really unique layered effects—mentions how “the ink bled through to the debossed side, leaving softer colors” that created a delightful dual-sided look.
This is a must HAVE embossing folder! I’ve seen so many awesome cards created with it.” I recently shared 20 different looks that you can achieve with this folder using different cardstock, foil, vellum, water colour card with different colouring mediums
How about using sponge daubers to add blended color directly onto the sunflower for warmth and dimension.
Or a clean white-on-white card with gold accents that’s elegant enough for weddings or sympathy cards.
These varied examples highlight just how quickly you can elevate your designs with simple materials.
Double embossing technique with Sunflowers
Todat I am sharing two of the technique samples I made on my live, now made up into cards.

Double embossing with Label Me Grateful
The piece of Melon Mambo has been embossed using the Gathering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder and then embossed with the sunflowers folder. To help the images pop wipe over the surface gently with a white ink pad. Its such a great technique.
Simple finishing with die cut elements and a sentiment from the Label Me Grateful really allow the sunflowers to shine.

Double embossing with heat embossing!!
For my second technique I used the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing folder before repeating with the Sunflowers Embossing Folder.

This time using Gorgeous Grape Ink Instead of white and covering the wet ink with Clear Embossing powder and setting with a heat gun…… so triple embossing!!! I love the effect and iallows those Plaid under patterns to shine

Voila!
I so enjoyed making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you
