This month we are sharing our bonus projects from our upcoming Modern Christmas Stamp Camp and I was inspired to make my gift bag as a way to store all the cards we are going to make over the session! Once the cards are written and sent you have a handy bag to gift as well!

Falling in Love with the Modern Christmas Suite

I don’t know about you, but Christmas crafting is one of my absolute favourite parts of the season. There’s just something about sitting down with festive paper, stamps, and a cup of something warm that makes me feel so joyful. And this year, Stampin’ Up!’s Modern Christmas Suite has completely captured my heart.

Fresh, Festive, and Fun

What I love most about this suite is how different it feels. Don’t get me wrong — I adore the classics — but sometimes I crave a fresh look. The Modern Christmas Suite gives me that: bold, updated patterns, stylized trees and ornaments, and an elegant colour combo that feels so on-trend. Black White & Gold? Yes, please!

Everything Just Works Together

You know that moment when you’re pulling out supplies and wondering if things will actually match? Yeah… that doesn’t happen here. The stamps, dies, patterned paper, gold rings, and twine all coordinate beautifully. It makes designing so much easier — and I can spend more time enjoying the process instead of second-guessing colour choices.

Beyond the Card Front

Of course, I’ve been making cards (and I love how they’re turning out), but the patterned paper is so versatile that I’ve been turning it into these large shopper gift bags and other projects. It’s amazing how professional they look and the added bonus of a fold flat design with no bulky creases means I can get ahead of the curve and know these bags are going to still look great in a few weeks time. Suddenly, packaging feels just as special as the gift inside. These bags are seriously big and are a great way to use up some of that patterened paper that we all have lurking in our craft rooms.

The Details Make the Difference

It’s the little things that really make this suite sing. Foiled elements give my projects a feeling of luxiousious depth, those gold rings add opulance without being over-the-top, and that twine — it’s the perfect finishing touch. Those small details pull everything together and make my handmade projects feel polished and complete.
