Spooky Halloween Card – Build & Bloom Blog Hop

Jul 8, 2025 | All Occasions, Blog Hop, Card Ideas

Welcome to our Build & Bloom blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators located all around the world. They are members of the Build & Bloom Academy (Formerly Tech 4 Stampers). The academy is run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, we have established a regular blog hop. This month we are using a sketch layout as a basis for our creativity. I am delighted to share my Spooky Holloween Card.

Sketch Challenge

Today we have a wonderful sketch to follow. You can use it as you wish, total replication, CASing, Rotate it or general inspiration.

Spooky Halloween Card

This month we have a brand new release of Online exclusive products and this fun Spooky Halloween Bundle is just absolutely adorable and perfect for todays challenge.

Spooky Halloween Card

I just adore the fun large butterfly die, but wanted to show it in a different way!

So I added it inside a gate-fold to create a fun surprise when you open the card…. see below

The Designer series paper is from the same suite and is called Spooky Sweet. I’m not normally a Halloweens sortof girl but I just loved these designs and two of the pages are fun die cut pop out images. Perfect for quick and easy crafting

Tips To Make This Spooky Halloween Card

Use the die cut images for the scene

Layering DSP or embossing in white on black card stock really helps the colours/sentiment to pop

Don’t be afraid to cut down sections to fit your overall imagery. The strip of fencing was cut down from a larger wider strip, but was too overpowering.

Wrap some Petunia Pop Iridescent Ribbon around the card & tie in a big bow for a sumptuous finish.

To finish scatter Shimmer Foam Star Stickers around.

Voila!

I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration
