Creativity Abounds Blog Hop
This month we are sharing Birthday card ideas. I chose to use the uber fun Otterly Adorable suite from our Online exclusives offering for my project. I deliberately chose to create an age & gender neutral card. You will see later on as you scroll down that it’s quite the opposite from my bright and floral card design for our monthly tutorial bundle.
Create An Otterly Amazing Tent Fold Birthday Card – Creativity Abounds Blog Hop
I am continuing on my travels through New Zealand watching the cricket, so still have limited supplies. However, I just couldn’t resist making another card using this fun suite.
This time its a tent fold card with a lovely aperture frontage. The supporting bracket at the bottom of the card really aids stability.
The images have been fussy cut from the DSP & mounted on a large Stylish Shape circle. I love the way they look like two pals relaxing and putting the worlds to rights!
The sentiment is a generic one, but I wanted to stick to the ones in the bundle. You can easily add a birthday sentiment on the reverse of the card when you write your message.
The other die cut elements are all from the same suite. The rocks are die cut in white. Then wiped with a Pebbled Path Ink Pad to give a textured effect.
The foliage is given the same treatment. This time use some Pool Party card. Then coloured with Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock inks using the same wipe technique.
Voila! How fun is that?

I love this card!! The otters are so cute!
WOW! Love the way the otters are just chilling out and chewing the fat. The choice of papers to create a river and sky then those super rocks really set the scene. Great card – and a great fold. Plus I think your tutorial card is just the bee’s knees – love it!
Fun card! Love the way the background blends right in with the front for a great scene.
Great card Sara. Yes great minds
Great use of the otters in front of that circle Sara. Adorable!
