Sketch Challenge
So this month we have a sketch challenge. This sketch is perfect for making bulk Christmas cards so that’s exactly what I did!
I chose to use the wonderful Season of Green and Gold DSP. This is a such a luxurious and elegant set of papers and can be found in our online exclusive section.
I just couldn’t make up my mind which order to use the papers. So I made two and will leave it up to you to decide which you prefer…..
Christmas is in the Air Card
I m using the opportunity to share a little sneak peak of a beautiful new bundle which will be available to purchase from the 4th September – Peaceful Season
I have used the dies to cut the double layer sentiment. Once in Mossy Meadow and once in Gold foil.
TIP: use some adhesive sheet on the back of the gold foil for easier adhesion.
Take the first layer and create a fun ripped effect using the second largest Deck edge die.
Gently add a little ink using a blending brush. Starting with the Tahitian Tide ink and then the deeper Azure Afternoon to create a lovely vignette effect.
The images outline is stamped in Cajun Craze and then infill with Petal Pink Ink . Because the stamps are photopolymer you can build up the flowers colour by repeat stamping the Petal Pink until you get the desired effect.
The sentiment is a double die and fits perfectly into the layout
For the leaf fronts……. What looks like coloured card is actually Basic White Card! Gently build up colour using the ink remaining on the Blending brush. Hey presto, you have coordinating leaves!! Woo – Hoo
To finish add some Tinsel dots
