Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world who are members of the Tech 4 Stampers Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is For the Men, and I am delighted to share how I made this simple Masculine Sail Boat Birthday Card
Masculine Sail Boat Birthday Card
Creating watercolour backgrounds are such fun. Just grab a wide water painter, make the water colour paper damp, then add your colour and blend. Its just so much fun
For this card I used from top to bottom:
Once dry, heat emboss the image in white
Dry emboss the card and wrap some white bakers twine around, before adding to the base card.
The image has been punched in Basic White and the sails curled with a bone folder before adding to the card
The card was finished with some Classic Matte Dots
Measurements – Perfectly Pencilled Floral Birthday Card
- Base Card (Thick Basic White): 21.0 cm x 14.0 cm scored and burnished at 10.5 cm
- First Layer (Fluid 100 watercolor paper): 12.0 cm x 8.5 cm
- Sail Boat (Basic White): 7.0 cm x 7.0 cm
Voila!
I so enjoyed making this card and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

Love the colour combo!
Gorgeous.
Well I wondered how to use that punch without the stamp set. Thanks for the idea!
Loving the ombre effect, Sara – TFS
