Apr 11, 2023 | Birthdays, Blog Hop, Card Ideas, Colouring

Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world who are members of the Tech 4 Stampers Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Her Website School and Tech Academy helps Stampin Up Demonstrators navigate their way around the world of websites and social media. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is Something Square, and I am delighted to share how I made this simple Perfectly Pencilled Floral Birthday card

Perfectly Pencilled Floral Birthday Card

I do love a bit of relaxing colouring using my watercolour pencils and this card was an outright winner at our recent card class.

The image is actually fussy cut from a sheet of the soon to retire Perfectly Pencilled DSP and it fits perfectly on a fabulous square card.

I was inspired to make this card after visiting our local gardens RHS Wisley and took this photo of the stunning cherry blossom. We were so lucky it was a sunny day as it really made the blossom stand out against the blue sky

The images have been coloured with water coloured pencils and the sentiment stamped in Memento Ink.

The words are from the soon to retire Garden Birdhouses and it perfectly nestles in amongst the flowers

Adding a little Melon Mambo ink behind the image before adhering the image really helps it to pop and makes it feel like fresh spring blossom

The card was finished with some pastel Adhesive-backed sequins.
