Mar 18, 2023 | Blog Hop, Thank you

Welcome to our monthly Casually Crafting Blog Hop and my Seaside Bay Thank You Card.

Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop

The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor

We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Saturday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. So grab yourself a cup of your favourite beverage, sit back & enjoy the hop!

Colour Challenge

This month we have a colour challenge and we have a really pretty selection of colours selected from this adorable photo of a blue tit.

Seaside Bay

Today I am using this gorgeous Seaside Bay Stamp Set from the By the Bay suite.

Its images are so beautifully drawn and remind me of recent walks on the beach, when we were in New Zealand.

Seaside Bay Thank You Card

As I mentioned above, we spent lots of time walking on the beaches of New Zealand and I wanted to create a card inspired by the wading birds we saw in abundance

To add detail, stamp dots all over the the So Saffron layer in the same colour ink.

Take a piece of watercolour paper and add So Saffron and Pacific Point Ink using blending brushes and stamp over the colour using the dost again in the matching inks.

To add texture tap some water over the paper leave for a couple of seconds and mop up the water using a piece of kitchen roll.

Wrap some linen thread around the card, tie in a bow. Next attach to a piece of Pacific Point using some Dimensionals

The sentiment has been stamped in Pacific Point Ink and cut out using a double oval punch

The birds have been stamped in Soft Suede and coloured with So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.

Once fussy cut out they have been added to the card with Mini Dimensionals

Finish with some Rustic Metallic Dots

Voila!

I had great fun making this card. So, please do leave me a comment, letting me know what you think.

If you would like to know more about any of my projects please do get in contact and I would be happy to help you

So now it’s time to hop around the rest of the wonderful demonstrators blogs to see some more inspiration
