How to Create Wonderful Rays of Light Sukkot Card – Crafty Collaborations

Oct 9, 2022 | Blog Hop, Christmas

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today we are sharing some cards to celebrate Sukkot and I am very pleased to share my Rays of Light Sukkot Card

What is SUKKOT?

Sukkot is a little like Thanksgiving. It is a festival for giving thanks for many things, like food and shelter. The holiday celebrates the farmer’s yearly harvest, which takes place in the fall. Sukkot also commemorates the biblical story of the Jews’ escape from Egypt.

Sukkot is known as “the Time of our Happiness.” commemorating the forty-year period during which the children of Israel wandered in the desert after leaving slavery in Egypt, living in temporary shelters as they travelled.

One Sukkot tradition involves the etrog, or citron, and the lulav, a bouquet made up of palm, myrtle, and willow branches. People shake the lulav in a special way to send a blessing out to all of creation.

Citron is a citrus fruit that resembles a lumpy lemon. Unlike lemons and oranges, however, citron is used primarily for its zest, since its pulp is dry and contains little juice.

Once again the Alphabest Stamp Set has been in invaluable in creating this card.

I chose to use the wonderful Rays Of Light Stamp Set to create the background of the card

The punched shape providing the perfect platform to arrange the lemon slices to the represent the Citron and the branches to represent the lulav.

A small twine bow and three Glossy dots complete the card
