Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. This month our theme is One Sheet Wonder I am very excited to share a different way to make up your cards with my slimline one sheet wonder cards.

Art Gallery

This gorgeous stamp set had been sitting un-inked and unfairly neglected on my shelf for a little while. its pretty images are perfect for this kind of technique.

What Is A One Sheet Wonder?

Creating one sheet wonders are such fun ways to create cards. It’s a fun way to take a piece of patterned paper and cut it into various pieces to make a set of coordinating cards. You can take it to the next level by taking a sheet of card/paper and using your stamps to create a beautiful background

The sky’s the limit for this technique

Slimline One Sheet Wonder Cards – Create the sheet

The beauty of the Art Gallery stamp set is that the main flowers are comprised of three images to create multi-layers of colour. Using a whole sheet of Basic White A4 card stamp randomly over the page filling as much of the space as possible.

Remember to rotate the stamps to create a more natural effect.

The colour palette was kept really simple, but using second generation stamping creates added depth and interest.

Here is the finished sheet, but once you start making these sheets you can quickly become addicted. You have been warned!!! LOL

Slimline One Sheet Wonder Cards – Create the One Sheet wonder

This part is the really fun bit. There are so many different options for cutting up your stamped sheet. Pinterest has loads of different templates to use for all shapes and sizes of card.

I chose to create three simple slimline cards using just one sheet of different card

Measurements – Slimline One Sheet Wonder Cards

  • Base: Evening Evergreen/Soft Succulent/Calypso Coral – 21.0 cm by 20.0 cm, scored at 10.0 cm on the short side and burnished
  • First Layer: One sheet Wonder – 20.0 cm by 9.0 cm
  • Sentiments: Basic White – Scraps to die cut out shapes and where needed additional images

Slimline One Sheet Wonder Cards – The finishing touches!

To save time I used three different Stylish Shapes, one for each card and stamped an additional flower and a simple sentiment in Evening Evergreen.

To finish add some Open Weave Ribbon and some Champagne Rhinestones

Slimline One Sheet Wonder Cards – The inside!

Using up the leftover pieces of coloured card as mats the inside each card and then repeated some of the stamping from the One Sheet wonder to continue the theme.

And the small strips left over from the One sheet wonder they don’t go to waste…… Why not use them to accent your envelopes?

Voila!

I so enjoyed making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Please do leave me a comment.
