Welcome to our Tech 4 Stampers blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world who are members of the Tech 4 Stampers Academy run by the amazing Louise Sims. Now many of us have our websites up and running, a blog hop seemed the next logical step. This month the theme is For the Men, and I am excited to share how I made these 6 super quick no stamping masculine cards.

HE’S THE MAN SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Do you find men’s cards tricky, well join the club!

However grab this magnificent pack of DSP and your are all set up for some amazing masculine card making!

Fabulous neutral colours with a variety of adaptable patterns

Each pack includes two sheets of double sided designs, including two sheets of images which are pre-die cut.

How To Create 6 Quick No Stamping Masculine Cards

Can you believe that you can create all these cards with just some card stock and the wonderful die cut images in the Specialty Designer paper above. That’s right not a single card has any stamping on the front! WOW!

I had just intended to made the bottom card, but once I started I just couldn’t stop and believe me when it come to men’s cards that’s saying something.

The die cut sentiments pair perfectly with the images and made assembly so easy

No Stamping Masculine Cards – You’re a Classic

As I mentioned this was the main card that I had intended to make.

Cut the frames using two of the square Stylish Shapes dies in Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry

Those frames line up beautifully with the DSP. Don’t they look like they were made for each other?

Add just two of the pre die cut images from the He’s the Man DSP is all this card needs.

Measurements – You’re A Classic

  • Base Card (Early Espresso): 21.0cm by 20.0cm, scored and burnished at 10.0cm
  • First Layer (He’s the Man DSP ): 20.5 cm by 9.5 cm

No Stamping Masculine Cards – You’re Flippin Awesome

For my next card I cut two pieces of the DSP to create two sections to showcase two more of those amazing pre-die cut images

Add a few of the small stars from the same sheet and some Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed dots, The BBQ king in your family will be totally sorted!

No Stamping Masculine Cards – You Did It!

This time I used a similar diagonal DSP background and then a layer of DSP to from that wonderful torn notebook die cut.

Use a blending brush and a little Early Espresso around the edges to give a fabulous vintage look.

The sentiment is popped up on a circle of Basic Black card using the Stylish Shapes dies.

No Stamping Masculine Cards – Never Lost

Punches are a great way to add quick elements to your card. For this card use the Decorative Circle punch to create a wonderful frame to the sentiment.

Another tip is to use some DSP offcuts to provide a grounding point for your images. That strip of DSP looks just like a road well travelled!

No Stamping Masculine Cards – Cheers to all Your Years

Once again use the Decorative Circle Punch to frame the sentiment die cut.

The torn look die cut was looking a little lost so it has been layered with a piece of Early Espresso which has been torn along the bottom to coordinate.

Add a piece of faux suede trim across the card. Ribbon definitely has a place on masculine cards!

No Stamping Masculine Cards – Lookin’ Sharp

For my final card I let the DSP layer be my inspiration.

Loving the look of the torn layer on the previous card I added three pieces of vellum, which were hand edged to pair with that die cut piece.

Finish with some Linen Thread wrapped around the card three times. Not a bow in sight!

The sentiment die cut is layered on a Stylish Shapes Circle & another punched Decorative Circle. Doesn’t it look like a rosette? Just add ribbons! Wait? No? Yes? You decide…..

Voila!

I so enjoyed making these cards and I would love to know what you think? Which one is your favourite? Please do leave me a comment.
