Sep 19, 2022 | Blog Hop, Christmas, Techniques

Hello there Crafty friends. Welcome to this month’s Stamp Impressions Europe Blog Hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around Europe and we will be sharing some wonderful ideas based around a monthly theme. This month we are sharing some Projects using Embossing techniques & I am sharing Three Different Embossing Techniques for your cards.

NORTH POLE MISCHIEF CLING STAMP SET

If you love a cute Christmas Stamp set, Then this is the one for you!

Never had a stamp set been better named with two very mischievous images just begging to be coloured

Three Different Embossing Techniques With North Pole Mischief – To North Pole

I made these fun cards on a recent Facebook live.

This first card uses two different Embossing techniques

  • Heat Embossing
  • Pressure Embossing using an Embossing Folder

The image has been Heat embossed and coloured with Stampin Blends. the image was stamped and heat embossed again on some Basic White & DSP and used to paper piece the cat and present.

The second layer of DSP was adhered to the first layer and then embossed with the Whimsical Woodland Embossing folder

I love embossing DSP as it adds an added layer of detail

Card Measurements

  • Real Red Base: 29.7cm x 10.5 cm & score at 14.8 cm
  • First Layer Mossy Meadow: 14.5 cm x 10.2 cm
  • Second Layer Boughs of Holly DSP: 14.2cm x 9.9 cm
  • Third Layer Basic White: 10.0 cm x 7.0 cm – Die cut with the Middle sized Scalloped Contours Die
  • Paper Pieceing Boughs of Holly: Scrap
  • Layering Basic White: Scrap

Three Different Embossing Techniques With North Pole Mischief – To North Pole

This second card uses all three techniques:

  • Heat Embossing
  • Pressure Embossing using an Embossing Folder
  • Embossing Paste

Rather than use a mask the stencil was created with one of the Split Card Texture Dies and a piece of thick white card backing from some DSP – nothing is ever wasted!

The Gray Granite layer has been embossed using the Gingham Embossing Folder and works so well with the sparkly embossed layer.

The fun flat bow has bene created using the Gray Granite Shimmery Ribbon

Don’t forget you can watch me making this card on my Facebook live.
