Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I’m so happy to be sharing my project with you today and to show you my Slimline Let’s Set Sail Oceanfront Thank You Card.
I’m participating in Kylie’s monthly International Blog Highlights contest and the top 10 vote winners get to participate in an International Blog Hop. I would be so grateful if you could consider taking a moment and voting for my card? I’d really appreciate it!
How Do I Vote?
Click on the button below you. Please look for my card (It’s number 21) and click on the little heart sign on the right-hand top side of my photo. Once you’ve touched the little clear heart it will turn to Red and will confirm that you voted. You can vote up to five times, but it’s not required, you can also just vote for one. Thanks so much, I truly appreciate your support!
The theme for the International Blog Highlights is “Thank You”!
I love to send positive messages to my team as well as standard sentiment thank you cards and this month I chose to combine two very popular stamp sets that we used in a recent gathering. This is just my way of thanking them for being so amazing!!!
Slimline Let’s Set Sail Oceanfront Thank You Card
I love love love the Oceanfront stamp set for simple stamping! You can create wonderful seaside scenes in just moments.
For this card I decided to create a river scene complete with a beautiful sail boat sailing down stream! Doesn’t it just scream relaxing times?
This card is so simple to make
The sky, hills, sand and dunes have been stamped using the same image and is just switched up to fit.
Adding some some of the dotty stamps to the dunes just adds some perfect little details. I also double stamped the birds without re-inking to create same depth to the scene
The sail boat has been stamped and then the sails have been punched in Coastal Cabana card and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals to create a billowing sails effect
Tips for Batch Making cards
You won’t believe how quick these cards were to make and I have some great tips for batch making cards, which work for me when I want to create lots of cards at once!
- Cut all the card stock for all of the cards first and set each element in a pile left to right in front of you so you can work through the process efficiently
- Stamp each element on all of the cards in turn so you are only working with one colour at a time and don’t have to keep cleaning your stamp to change inks.
- Punch all of the sails from any scraps of card you might have before using whole sheets and then lightly curl each sail with a bone folder
- Add the Stampin Dimensionals to the back of each sail Finally assemble your cards working though each element methodically.
Its a great way to create Christmas/wedding/invitation cards and this system really works. I was able to create 24 of these cards in just a couple of hours!!

Love this card! Using the stamps from this set multiple times to elongate the scene was a fantastic idea!
