Welcome to another Crafty Collaborators blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. Each month we will be showcasing some of the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. Today’s Monthly hop is called Share it Sunday, where we will be sharing a recent project. I want to share with you a set of Garden Gnome cards, that I made a on a recent Facebook Live
Kindest Gnomes
Who doesn’t love a Gnome? Did you know that the collective name for a gnome is a Donsy!
Sounds so cute!
And talking of cute how adorable are these gnomes from the Kindest Gnomes Stamp set. This set forms part of the Storybook Gnomes Suite in the July to December mini catalogue and I wanted to show so other ways to use the stamps apart from Christmas.
Garden Gnomes Cards
I just love how these cards came out. We are enjoying an long heat wave in the UK right now and I was obviously influenced by all the bright light around. these cards are certainly vibrant!
I has such fun making these cards and you can see how I made them here
Each card was stepped up through the demonstration & I used some masking to techniques on two of the cards so the gnomes were sitting nestled right in the garden of flower
Garden Gnomes Cards – Smiles across the miles
This card was so quick and simple to make once the mask had been created
How to Make This card
- Stamp the gnomes in Smoky Slate onto the second layer – Basic White
- Take some Masking Paper or Post It note and Stamp the sitting gnome in any colour you wish.
- Fussy cut out and place on top of the stamped gnome
- Use a blending brush to add some Daffodil Delight ink to the centre of the card.
- Next randomly stamp the large daisy in Mago Melody Ink followed by the middle flower (Polished Pink Ink) and finally the small clusters of flowers in Fresh Freesia.
- Use a Polished Pink Stamping Blend to add some splatters.
- Remove the mask and colour the Gnome with Stampin Blends (Sweet Sorbet, Balmy Blue, Basic Black and Smoky Slate)
- Assemble the card layers using glue or Seal
- Stamp the sentiment in Smoky Slate ink on a scrap of Basic White Card and trim down.
- Add to the card with Mini Stampin Dimensionals
- Finish with some Faux Sea Glass Shapes & Pearlized Enamel effect Basics (set aside to dry)
- Now you are all ready to decorate the inside
Garden Gnomes Card Measurements
- Base: Thick Basic White – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm scored at 14.8 cm

Garden Gnomes Cards – What a Happy Day
For my next card I stepped it up a little and added another gnome!
The flowers are from the Natures Harvest Stamp set and were coloured with Stampin Blends
TIP: to make the flowers pop go around the outside of the image with a pale colour such as Balmy Blue or Pool Party. It makes such a difference to the end result.
The leaves are from Elephant Parade stamp set and have been fussy cut out before being added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Garden Gnomes Cards – You Gnome Me SO Well
For my final card I had a request on my Facebook live for a lady gnome and I just couldn’t rest making a festival style card complete with purple hair!
I used the Mushroom house in lieu of a tent!
The sentiment is stamped onto a scrap of Basic white card and punched out using the Double Oval Punch.
