Jul 12, 2022 | All Occasions, Blog Hop, Colouring, Step by step

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations blog hop. I am part of an amazing group of demonstrators from all around the world. We love showcasing the wonderful products which can found in our suite of catalogues. July is actually WATERCOLOUR MONTH so we are celebrating this wonderful medium. There are quite a few different techniques which I am sure you will discover today. I chose to create a fun Slim fold watercolour flower card.

Happiness Abounds

The Happiness Abounds Bundle is just amazing! It is part of a beautiful suite packed full of floral tributes and beautiful fine outline images which are perfect for colouring

Splendid Thoughts Bundle

I just had to pair the stamp set with the gorgeous Splendid Thoughts Bundle.

This bundle to just epitomises simple elegance and worked perfectly with my floral images

Slim fold watercolour flower card

I made this card on a recent Facebook Live and I love how simple this card is to make, thanks to the wonderful products at hand from our annual catalogue.

It can be quite daunting to try water colouring, but with the right tools you can get stunning results with very little effort. Like the sound of that? Then have a look at this technique for creating watercolour washes on card to create beautiful backgrounds.

I just love taking a simple piece of card and using colour to create interest. Why not check out my Facebook live to see just how easy it really is?

Talking of which have you seen the Silver & Gold 6″ by 6″ Designer Series paper peaking out from under the flowers.

Well you would be excused if you missed them as I used just a sliver of the Silver spotty DSP & the stripy version has been coloured with memento ink to help those groovy stipes pop!

Even better this DSP is part of our Sale-a-bration offering and you could nab this for free with a qualifying order Woo Hoo!

The flowers were really simple to make from a single piece of water coloured Fluid 100 Card

Once the base is dry (use a heat gun to speed up the process), you can stamp, die cut, punch or emboss your card to make all sort of interesting shapes and elements for your cards.

You can also build up layers of little details on the base layer using a variety of stamps, Stampin Blends and Embellishments.

Its just so much fun and each card with come out slightly different.

You can see the Facebook live recording of how I made this card here
