How to make Three Cheers Christmas Cards

Oct 2, 2021 | Card Ideas, Christmas, Step by step

Welcome to this months Stampin’ for Christmas Blog hop. We our a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world sharing Christmas card making and papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! Supplies. This week I had lots of fun on my Facebook Live with the Words of Cheer Bundle, making my three cheers Christmas cards

Words of Cheers Bundle

I just adore this bundle and is one of those hidden gems that you will want to keep in your stamp collection all year round.

Three Cheers Christmas Cards – Traditional

This card was made for a recent class and my customers loved it so much they asked me to share some other colour ways and options

The beautiful embossing folder is the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder and according to one of my customers is the musical score of ‘Ode to Joy’

The background has been edged with Merry Merlot and Memento black ink to create a lovely vignette effect and the Old Olive holly and sentiments really stand out against the dramatic colouring.

How gorgeous are these dies? I just love how this CHEER die cuts a wonderful base layer that allows you to achieve perfect letter spacing every time.

You may have spotted that gorgeous sparkly die cut layer. It’s the Be Dazzling speciality paper that was available during Sale-a-bration. Sadly its now no longer available, but if it caught your eye do not fear I have quite a few extra packets that will be shared amongst anyone ordering from me in October as my customer gifts! Woo hoo!

Alternatively you could use any of the the stunning speciality papers

Three Cheers Christmas Cards – Contemporary

For my next card I switched the colours to a more contemporary colour combination

The base is Balmy Blue and has been edged with Pacific Point, Misty Moonlight & Tuxedo Black Memento Inks, using a blending Brush.

The accents have been made with Pacific point. Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and Basic White card. Simple monochromatic colour way, but just so gorgeous

You can see how I made this card on my Facebook live.

Three Cheers Christmas Cards – Alternate

For my final card I changed up a few of the elements to show how you can change up the design to work with your stash (well that’s what I tell myself before popping all the items of a project I love into my basket!!)

The card base is Soft Succulent and has been paired with the Wintery Embossing Folder.

TIP: the Embossing folder is not wide enough to cover the whole width of the card so position the join carefully so it is covered by the die cuts! Yay! Love a good hack

The vignette has been created using Just Jade, Evening Evergreen & Memento Black Ink.

The sentiment is punched using the Timeless Punch, with a fabulous loop of Sheer Real Read ribbon behand.

Have you spied those wonderful red holly berries? They are metallic pearls, which have been coloured with a Real Red Stampin Blend

Voila!

I had great fun making this card and I would love to know what you think? So please do leave me a comment below.

Stunning cards, I love them all. The ink blending is great, I would never have thought of using Tuxedo Black for some reason, but it really works. Lx
