It was my birthday recently and I was very lucky to receive a number of beautiful gifts from family and friends. As a crafter its the perfect time to make a whole stack of thank you cards and share my hobby with a slightly different audience to my usual customer base.
Lovely you
This stamp set can be found in the Annual Catalogue and is what it says on the label! The images are simple, yet stunning and can be used in so many ways
Textures and Frames
We are now in the the last three weeks of our Second Sale-a-bration of this year, yet I have only recently managed to play with the Texture and Frames Stamp set. I so wish I had not waited so long. Its one of those hidden gems in the the middle of the brochure and the best bit is you can earn it for free!
See HERE for more details
I love simple stamp sets which have multiple uses and this one is a sure fired winner in that respect. Perfect for all types of cards, but works perfectly with the Lovely you stamp set as you will see below.
Lovely you thank you cards
I selected a palette of pretty contrasting bright colours (of course!) and set about making a huge batch of cards.
Not my normal go to combination, but I think it really works. I love that each circle has a tone on tone effect with keeps the image soft and quite contemporary.
To create the card take the solid circle image and start in the middle on the centre left. Stamp off the ink and use the second generation stamp to create a much softer image. Repeat the process with the frame image.
Next add the images inside from the Lovely You Stamp set , stamp a ‘splat ‘ image or add some splatters.
Repeat for each colour until you have filled the piece of Basic White card.
I soon realised that I was getting some lovely effects as I stamped off all the colours first on my scrap paper so b the second card I had decided to create some Bonus birthday cards by stamping off onto a piece of basic white.
Yay two for the price of one!
To go with the circular theme add some of the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots. Because there are no Cinnamon Cider dots, colour the purple posy ones with a dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blend
Finally I added some white bakers twine and a sentiment stamped in Poppy Parade Ink before mounting the card onto the Poppy Parade cardstock base
Using this method I made over 20 cards in a morning, despite having to adapt my design slightly as I dropped an open ink pad on top of two stamped layers! I’m so grateful for our wonderful Tasteful Labels Dies!
Measurements – Lovely you thank you cards
- Card Base: Poppy Parade – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm score at 14.9 cm
- First Layer: Basic White – 14.4 cm by 10.2 cm
- Sentiment: Basic White – scrap
Voila!

Omg I have seen this type of card on the internet but your cards are the best colourful, beautiful cards that beat them all. LOVE your cards. 😍
