Beautifully Penned

Now this month I have chosen the stunning Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper. The papers form part of the wonderful Sale-a-bration offering that is available now and can be earnt for free with a qualifying order

Now the designs in this pack are have all been created to coordinate with the pretty Hand Penned Designer Series Papers. With pretty delicate water colour style patterns that have so many options. There are 4 each of 3 double sided designs in a useful 12″ x 12″ format giving 12 sheets.

Feels Like Home

How pretty is this stamp set? It’s also included in the Sale-a-bration offering so can also be earnt for free!

I thought it would be fun to create three different cards from simple to a little more involved to show you how these products work in tandem.

Feels Like Home cards – Simple

I loved creating this simple layout, letting the pretty paper do all the work.

For my first card I chose to keep everything really simple.

A simple square card with one of the pieces of Beautifully Penned DSP and the image & sentiment stamped in Basic Gray Ink onto a piece of Basic White card.

TIP: Mask off the edges with post it notes to keep the image square to match the card, but you really don’t need to if you like the whole image

Add three Matte Dots to the card to finish off.

Feels Like Home cards – Stepped up

For my next card I pulled out my Stampin Blends for a little bit of relaxing colouring

Colour a few of the leaves with a Granny Apple Green Stamp Blend

The image was stamped in basic Gray Ink onto a piece of Shimmery White card, then coloured with various blends. I used the colour lifter to soften the edges

Add a little jean style tab of Soft succulent ribbon coloured with a Granny Apple Green Stampin Blend. Such a fabulous way to make your own coordinating ribbon!

Finally a few Genial Gems to add a little sparkle!

Feels Like Home cards – Stepped up Plus!

For my final card I wanted to create a special card for a friend who loves red…… can you tell?

The papers have been coloured using a blending brush to create an ombre effect. I love how easy it is to coordinate the papers to go with my colour scheme.

The image has been stamped in Stazon onto a piece of Water colour paper & heat set.

Next was the really fun relaxing bit – colouring using inks, watercolour pencils & Blender pen. You can really build up the layers this way and create lots of details and highlights

The sentiment has been heat embossed in white on a scrap of Basic black card and fussy cut apart. I have also snuck in another image, the pot of tulips which are her favourite flowers

To finish I added a bow of Real Red Sheer ribbon, an additional pop of real red card under the image, some adhesive sequins and some fine tip glue to the door for some shine. She really did love it!
